  1. I feel like two minutes went by quick, but looking at the clock, so excellent. All right, so welcome. Absolutely appreciate your time today. And, you know, time is kind of the word of the day here because that's really what we're promising to give back to you in your day. So I want you to know this, you know, this this solution here that you're going to see is basically custom built for this audience. You know, this is this is a culmination of kind of years of working in this niche medical space with all of you.

  2. And really, you know, from DMO and DMP and all the millions of minutes worth of audio that you brought with it. So, you know, for me personally, I've been doing this for 13 years now. I just had an anniversary there last month. But I confidently, honestly, truly believe that this is what you've been waiting for. The solution, it's never been better. I promise you the price is on point. And, you know, I couldn't be more excited.

  3. And I think what you're going to see today is basically, at least for me, you know, this is the largest leap I've ever witnessed in medical documentation. So a couple housekeeping items. We're going to follow up with each and every one of you after the webinar. your emails from your registration um you might see something auto generated from go to meeting just saying thank you for that but something more actionable and concrete will absolutely follow to assist with next steps i'm also going to be in touch with all your dragon solution partners as well any questions and answers i just ask that you use the the questions box and not the chat field we'll get to them.

  4. Some we might be able to get to during the presentation, but absolutely at the end we will. How come I can't hear anything? Your screen is black. Mark, I'll share my screen, but I'm pretty sure the audio is working. I'm not. Daniel, check the audio settings at the bottom of the presentation and see if it comes through there. And then meanwhile, I'll share my screen. All right. Can you all see the slides now? There we go.

  5. All right. All right. Well, I was going to introduce you, Aaron, as my partner in crime today. Aaron McQueen, he's our jack of all trades, Jedi master, dragon wizard. But he's the he's the person for the job to make sure that dragon's working like that well-oiled machine. air screening. Aaron, I know you could get that to work if we had a little more time, but do you want to say hello to the people? Hello, everybody. I'm happy to be of service.

  6. Excellent. Excellent. Okay. All right. A couple slides to set the stage that I'm going to have to now say next slide, please. But we'll jump into the demo so you can see in an action, a couple wrap-up slides. If you can stick around for the Q&A, we'll stick around as long as the questions keep coming. But if you want something more one-on-one, any questions you just want to take off the webinar, we absolutely welcome you to reach out in a one-on-one capacity.

  7. So, okay. So I want to introduce Dragon Copilot just so you understand what you're seeing when we do do the demo. So MDC, you might hear me call it as I get into my groove here, Microsoft Dragon Copilot. So it's really designed to support clinicians kind of the way you actually work. What I mean by that is that it has a pool of talent. Now, no matter what phase of the patient experience you're at, so it's going to bring together, and everyone should be familiar, you were invited to this webinar because you're a Dragon Medical One user, but it's got your trusted voice dictation of Dragon Medical One.

  8. It's got that ambient listening capabilities from its predecessor solution, DAX Copilot. And the real new piece that's going to bring all this together is this healthcare-specific generative AI. So really you're looking at an all-in-one seamless experience kind of, you know, before, during, and after the physician encounter here. So really what you do is you pick that right tool for the job, right? You know, dictate naturally, let the AI capture the ambient encounter, summarize the patient, you know, generated note.

  9. And that's going to allow you kind of to focus solely on the patient. So it's that generative AI that you'll see that's really going to help you complete an insane amount of enhancements. extend beyond the visit here. So absolutely, I don't get into security too much. If you require your IT side of things, we absolutely have enough to even make most stringent IT manager feel, you know, accept the solution, but everything's hosted on Microsoft Azure platform, kind of borrowed this from Aaron, it is the most secure hosting platform in the world kind of hard stop, I think he calls it bulletproof.

  10. But, But, you know, like I said, Dragon Coalpilot, it's going to reduce documentation burden. It's going to preserve that focus on the patient. It's going to give you that time back that I was talking about. It's unlimited access to an AI assistant, drives meaningful financial impact. You know, we used to measure our ROI with these solutions when I started in a matter of months. And then it was a matter of weeks. And now we're starting to see it in a matter of patience.

  11. So, okay, next slide for me, Aaron. Okay, so I kind of put myself out there and I said, you know, this is the largest leap in medical documentation ever witnessed. So kind of want to make that digestible. So we kind of put it into three pillars. You heard me say, you know, before, during and after the patient encounter. I will say this, too. Nobody is going further, deeper and beyond capturing the patient encounter as we do.

  12. Microsoft, I know they've been in the news a little bit lately, but, you know, they have $5 billion invested in the next five years. um hopefully still the thousands of researchers and developers and doctors on staff and that's all designed to keep the platform cutting edge so um it's all that going beyond documentation though that we're excited to show you you know it's automating a lot of those administrative tasks with a single click so this is going to help clinicians you know summarize evidence prepare orders, draft referral letters, generate after visit summaries.

  13. It's an absolute ever growing list of AI enhancements that we use to automate the day that you used to spend hours with this documentation burden. You know, if you would have joined us four or five, three years ago, Aaron and I used to do presentations all about physician burnout when we were showcasing Dragon Medical One right so this continues to build upon that so all right slide me aaron so you might have to do a few more clicks on this one because i kind of made it animated but uh i wanted to spend 30 more seconds on this one because this is the newest piece to the puzzle here especially to everyone on this call um and i'm you know the possibilities are really endless when it comes to how we can train the AI.

  14. As much as I think everyone in here wishes there was symmetry in healthcare, it's absolutely not the case. You know, how you do things different, how you do things is different than your neighbor two doors down the hall, right? But it's through this AI-powered prompts and templating and natural language chat interface that we can customize the output of the note to your liking. Aaron, how do you say it? it's not it's your dragon i'm putting you on the spot but i love the way you say it i don't know if you're with me or not i am here uh yeah it's this guy in the bottom right hand corner that i always like to highlight style customize and automate because you know these days let's be honest there are a lot of ai note writers out there and anybody can make a note writer that'll make a note but Dragon Copilot can make your note the difference is stark um I would say that there's nothing out there that compares with Dragon Copilot's ability to customize its output to suit your specific needs.

  15. Whether or not it's you like to see your HPI laid out in a specific way or you need the information in the assessment and plan organized just so or particular templates for procedures that you use regularly or secondary documents for different reports that you want it to be able to generate for you so you don't have to dictate them or create them with a second step. things can be customized and with one handy dandy little switch featured right here it can be configured to do all those things automatically so it's record and then it does the rest yeah yeah you nailed it it would make your dragon there but you know for the less technical people like myself out there you know it's hey siri you know that's literally how you can talk to it right but we're talking more access to more medical data than the entire archives of the library of congress and lost maybe reminisce but no when it pulls its information it's pulling it through credible healthcare appropriate sources you know the CDC the FDA you know if you look at some competitors out there and other large language models you know they're using social media and the entire internet as a source you know not not cool yes me right so it's really though it's this chat interface you speak to it what you want to see happen you know edit summarize navigate retreat retrieve million other verbs right but you simply ask what you want and uh you'll get to what you need so we'll uh we'll highlight this really well for you during the uh during the demo so okay speaking of which i believe i believe you are correct it is about that time uh so let me go ahead and share the back of the screen.

  16. I'm going to temporarily stop the slideshow. And here we have. So this is something that we wanted to specifically highlight for you all today. It's not just a question of creating an AI note writer that is going to be able to produce a note, and then you have to find a way to sort of finagle getting it into your medical record system. Now, don't get me wrong, the BaseDragon Co-Pilot product has a lot of really great streamlined tools to output a note and then transfer it wherever you need it, whether it's a particular niche EHR that you use for your practice.

  17. Mark always likes to say that there's no symmetry in medicine, right? Everybody has their own workflow, their own tools, and Dragon Copilot can cope with all of them. If it happens to be the case that you're using a short list of specifically supported EHRs, we have this, which is known as the Clinical Note Exchange Connector. us to generate the note using the Dragon Copilot engine, but then it takes that note and in an automated fashion performs the data entry on your behalf so that you don't need to worry about copying and pasting or even using voice commands to get the note into place.

  18. It'll take care of that all on its own. So this is what that connector looks like. I'm going to go ahead and sign in. You'll notice on that right-hand side there, it kind of flashed by a little pop-up screen. What that does, essentially, is grabs my regular work credentials. So Dragon Copilot uses Microsoft Entra for its authentication. That's the kind of standard issue Microsoft login system. So I enter my username and password when I log in at work, and then Dragon can grab those credentials so that I don't have to keep, so I don't have to keep entering them in every time.

  19. I can come to my computer double click the icon and then I can sign in straight away without any trouble so because the app connector is aware of my schedule this one happens to be hooked up to an instance of Athena but there are other supported the HRs let me see Athena clinicals Athena practice Veridigm mod med ECW and next gen are all supported you've got a slide on that too it's just after the demo so yes um and because it's plugged in it can see my appointment list so i went in earlier and i've gone in and i've created an appointment for ms annabelle white we're going to open up Dragon Copilot it's right here in the interface and we'll be able to pull this into the dragon engine so this that you're about to see in this little fly out window this is what Dragon Copilot's like, whether you're using the baseline, normal Dragon Copilot, or the clinical node exchange connected version.

  20. This is the main screen. It's a very straightforward interface. I've got my ambient listening button here. And if I want to do dictation, I can check this box right here. I can also map these to do different buttons. If I have an intelligent microphone, like a speech mic, Mark's got a slide about different microphones a little bit later on. Or I can use keyboard shortcuts. If I don't have a specialty microphone, I can still slide back and forth between those two work close very easily.

  21. Here's my patient session. And all I need to do is start the recording. So Mark, are you ready to become suddenly ill? Okay, so let's see here. One moment. I want to make sure that I've got us set up here. And there we go. All right, here we go. Oh, wait a minute. I need to change my audio. The audience can hear us, but my dragon microphone is not hearing you. I understand that Aaron and I are not in the same room, right?

  22. So he has to play with his audio settings a little bit. This is true. Yeah, he is about as far physically away from me as you can possibly get. I think it's because he doesn't like, No, I'm just kidding. We get along great. Mark, can you say something for me just to test our audio? Testing. One, two, three. Okay. I believe we are up and running. Think about your virtual telehealth or video conferencing, phone health, you know, all covered here.

  23. Okay. And I'm going to go ahead and start us recording. So I've walked in. I've got my patient checked in. We're sat down at our table for our visit. I'm just going to go ahead and start my recording. So good morning, Mark. I understand you've been experiencing some back pain and a fever. Can you tell me a little bit about your symptoms? Yeah, Doug. Thanks for seeing me today. I guess it's been for the past few days.

  24. I've kind of had this dull pain in my lower back. I'd say it mostly favors my left side here. But it's been getting worse to go along with that. I've had a fever, chills, which I'd say are the worst thing, but really tired and just not myself. Okay. Well, I'm sorry to hear that. Lower back pain on the left-hand side, fever, chills. I've taken a look at your medical history, and just in your chart here, I want to ask a couple of follow-up questions.

  25. Have you noticed any burning or discomfort when you go to use the restroom? Yeah, no, glad you brought that up. Definitely, you know, some burning, but I guess even worse is that it kind of feels like I have to go all the time, but there's not a lot of action. I understand. Well, those symptoms, along with your fever and the back pain, suggest that you might have a kidney infection. Now, I reviewed your lab results from this morning and compared them to the ones from your last visit a month ago.

  26. Your white blood cell count is significantly higher, which can indicate infection. Additionally, your creatinine levels have risen from 1.2 to 1.8, which suggests some additional stress on your kidneys. That, combined with lower flow and discomfort when you go to use the restroom, is really something that we should look into. Okay, that doesn't sound great. Do you think that has to do with the diabetes or the high blood pressure? Is it all related? Well, it's possible. Uncontrolled diabetes and high blood pressure can make you prone to kidney problems.

  27. Let's take a look at your hemoglobin A1c. Okay, now it is up from 7.2% to 8.1% since your last visit, which means your blood sugar levels aren't as well controlled as we generally like to see them. Your blood pressure today is also higher than your last visit, 148 over 92. These factors could be contributing to the current kidney issue. Now, have you been keeping up with your medication and your diet plan the way that we discussed?

  28. well uh medication absolutely been doing my best um some missed doses delayed doses um you know vacation work kids school all that stuff but uh diet i'm still trying to get under control it can be hard sometimes i understand managing multiple conditions can be a challenge where'd you go on vacation uh well it's funny we ended summer here with a nice camping trip with the with the kids so in the wilderness for a week there and kind of be one with nature.

  29. Well, that sounds great. Camping's always fun. We'll need to make some adjustments to your medication to help you feel better and to protect your kidneys. First, I'm gonna start you on a course of antibiotics to treat the infection. We're gonna prescribe ciprofloxacin for seven days, but we're gonna wanna monitor your response closely to make sure your system can handle it. I'd also like to adjust your medications for blood pressure and diabetes. I'm going to increase your lisinopril dose from 10 milligrams to 20 milligrams daily.

  30. This is going to help reduce the pressure on your kidneys. And for the diabetes, I'm going to add a low dose of empagliflozin, which can also have a protective effect. Okay. And you think that's going to kind of bring the numbers down across the board for me here? Well, that's the goal. We're going to check again with some labs in two weeks to see how your kidneys and your blood sugar levels and your blood pressure respond.

  31. Okay. Anything else I can do internally? Yes, I do want to make sure that you try and be a little bit more diligent with making sure that you're taking those dosages when you're supposed to, as regularly as you're supposed to. Stay hydrated, stay away from sugary beverages, sugary foods, and stick to that diet plan. And in the meantime, we're going to order an ultrasound of your kidneys to check for any blockages or structural issues that might be contributing to the infection or the changes in your kidney function.

  32. Okay, when's the ultrasound, do you think, sorry? We're going to get that done today. So once we're done here, the nurse is going to come in. We're going to schedule that for a little later this afternoon. Okay. We have a plan. I promise I'll keep it. All right. Well, you feel better, and we'll be back here with you in just a little bit to get that ultrasound taken care of. Thank you, doctor. Okay. And I'm going to go ahead and stop my ambient recording.

  33. I'm also going to put my audio back the way it was. There we go. All right. So it normally only takes about 10 or 15 seconds for Dragon Copilot to create a note. Mine is set up with some additional templating that you'll be able to take a look at and see. So it makes the transcript first, which we will have access to, this little transcript button in the corner if I want to review the word for word of the conversation.

  34. I can do that. It's then going to make sort of the baseline note. Don't get me wrong. The baseline note's great. It's driven by your specialty and Dragon's understanding of how the documentation for your specialty generally appears. But on top of that, and you might have seen it just change there on the screen, it started with little note and then it popped out with something a little more templated and verbose. To whatever extent I want to adjust the default output, I can do that.

  35. Nearly every one of the note fields is fully customizable, and I can apply things like my own special section headers that I prefer. I can bring information in from the transcript. I can apply conditional logic. So if I have a variety of different visit types or if I have an interdisciplinary practice, I can use the functionality of Dragon to detect the type of the visit that this is, and it can intelligently include and exclude and shape the output accordingly.

  36. And I have the ability to perform all of those functions in an automated fashion. I can even have it do things like go and look up codes for me. So here's our note. Like I say, the base note comes through and it's got everything documented. I have mine set up to pull Mark's voice in from the transcript for the chief complaint. Of course, depending on your own documentation practices, you may or may not do that. I have mine set up because I wanted to show off how it can pull the transcript in.

  37. We've got our problem details, past medical history. Down here, we go a little bit further. Review of systems. Here's the physical exam broken out into some subsections with nice bullets. And again, if I wanted this to be just a block paragraph, I can do that. If I want just the bullets with no headings, I can do that. If I want the headings with paragraphs, I can do that. However you want the note to come through, Dragon's got your back.

  38. Got our results down here, and then here's our assessment and plan. Again, this template, fully customizable. This one that you're seeing right here, I actually worked with a provider to make. you at the top here just one two three kind of vanilla with uh vanilla with nothing on them and then each one gets its own paragraph down in the plan separated some follow-up instructions and then the ai has gone and looked up my codes for me and put them down here at the bottom so that i don't have to go and look them up myself in some database somewhere um mark before we get this into the ehr is there anything that you'd like to highlight um no usually while it's producing um I just want to call out, too, since one of the last updates there, you know, 58 different languages are now accepted and are recognized with Dragon Copilot.

  39. And also, I know we get this question a lot, too, from behavioral health. They increased the runtime from 75 minutes up to 120 minutes now per session. So just a couple updates that I wanted to call out. Absolutely. Okay. And then again, before I do our sort of data entry step, you know, as expedited as it is, one last thing I want to call out is the little co-pilot chat guy down here in the corner. This is where I can go in and I can instruct Dragon to take different actions for me to further modify the note.

  40. And don't get me wrong, I love this little co-pilot chat guy. It's incredibly capable. It's flexible. I can click on this guy, dictate in whatever message I want to tell the AI to do, take something out, change something, rearrange it, look up information. And I can't stress this enough. If I go down in here into my template options, it's way better and convenient, more convenient for me to have it do all that automatically. So all I have to do is record the conversation.

  41. And the moment I stop the recording, it makes the note, it applies my template, and it can even run an AI-generated prompt afterwards to go and fetch that information and make those modifications, apply conditional logic. And it'll do this all automatically. So once I have it set up kind of just the way I like it, my standard workflow for a patient visit is click into the session, record the conversation, stop the recording, and it takes care of the rest.

  42. But if I want to, I can click into these fields and I can dictate as well. in here or make a handful of edits all right once I'm done I'm gonna close up my notes screen and I'm gonna go back to the main page of clinical note exchange and you'll note we now have a fancy button that has appeared and I'm gonna click on that and upload that information to my EHR it's now uploaded and now I'm gonna hop over into my Athena and you can see here's Annabelle White I'm going to go into that appointment have to wait for Athena to catch up to us here we go and here is our note in fact if I head to exam I can even see the broken out individual sections so give me just a moment There they are.

  43. The exact same note that Dragon Copilot just generated. And it's all here waiting for me so I can sign off on it. And that's the workflow from one end all the way to the other. I have my appointment in Athena. It's going to sync to the connector. I open up Dragon Copilot for that patient, record my conversation. The intelligent templating and conditional logic shapes the note to be exactly the way I want it. out to the main screen sync it to my EHR review it over here make sure that everything's good maybe I want to put some orders in you know different things that for legal reasons I got to do myself you know maybe there's some prescription medication in there etc and then I sign it and finish up now ours happens to be hooked up to an Athena sandbox for you know so you all can kind of see it in action but again any of those supported medical record systems it's the exact same flow clinical note exchange brings up the note record note gets created, sync to the medical record, sign off, and you're done.

  44. Do you want to show just further non-clinical or connected EHRs how easy it is to use your voice to transfer as well? I think that's important. Sure. Let's move the connector out of the way. We'll bring out Dragon Copilot itself, the mainstay of Microsoft's AI solutions. So the freestanding product looks And it is worth mentioning that this here, this is the fully installed desktop version of Dragon Copilot. You can also run it in a web browser tab.

  45. So if you're in an environment where you're not allowed to install software, like maybe it's a very protected system or your medical record's out on a server somewhere and they won't let you put stuff on it, you can get at it through a web browser tab. And I also can use an Apple mobile device, so an iPad or an iPhone or an Android phone. there's an app version so I can keep Dragon Co pilot in my pocket and carry it with me from room to room I'll go ahead and sign in and here's our Dragon Co pilot we're gonna head to our patient session where's one they've got a note for here we go so here's the way that the note in the Dragon Copilot sort of, again, freestanding version.

  46. And as you can see, the visual is exactly the same. We've got our note here in the middle. There's our ambient recording button. There's our dictation checkbox. And all I need to do is get this information out of Dragon Copilot and into the medical record. Let me pull the medical record back out where we can see it. So I'm going to pull Athena off to the side. into a narrow view when I'm doing the data transfer step.

  47. That way it doesn't take up the whole screen. And all I need to do is, well, I can copy and paste if I want to, just for the record. That kind of standard issue workflow does exist. If you'd like to use it, I can click copy selected and I can paste it wherever I need this information to go. But suppose I wanted to transfer this information into Athena kind of on my own or whatever medical record I'm using.

  48. I can turn on my dictation. transfer physical exam and so I place the cursor where I want that information to appear say transfer followed by the name of the note section and the information kind of zips across for me so that's the way it works if you're using the freestanding product you just click transfer transfer transfer and you're done so even if you're not using a medical record that's supported by an embedded connected solution it's very fast click transfer click transfer click then you're finished, you sign off and you're off to your next patient.

  49. Excellent. Excellent. No, I just want to make sure that that's very clear, whether it's an EHR or any other platform out there. You know, if you have that functionality with Dragon Medical One, you're going to be easily use your voice and transfer over the appropriate sections into, you know, the same platforms that you're familiar with using before. So very, very, you know, kind of agnostic when it comes to that agnostic. sorry but uh can you show off one more thing i just i talked about those ai enhancements i just kind of want the people to see maybe just a uh referral letter or um one of the other ones there sure i'm going to bring up my library uh let's do let's see here what do we want to build let's do a referral letter there we go i'm going to go ahead and click on that it's going to go ahead and draft that referral letter you can see it kind of churning away down here at the bottom And then I've got my referral letter that comes through right here in the sidebar.

  50. Now this is one of the default templates. Again, I want to stress the customization because these secondary documents that it can create, we can template these. And so if you have a specific referral letter that you have that is laid out kind of exactly how you like it, that can all be programmed in and it can be programmed in to produce So right alongside the note here, it can have referral letter, mental health assessment, dietician report, whatever else you might need.

  51. You can sort of stack them up right here. And then at the same time as it makes your note, it'll make all those other documents for you as well, kind of just in case you need them. You can call them in one by one if you'd like. But I love leveraging the automation. It makes it so much easier. And it doesn't take any additional time. One of the fun capacities of this suite is that however much you tell it to do, it only changes the speed of the processing by a second or two.

  52. So the difference between I have the basic note versus a fully complex and templated note is like a second of processing time. And if I add 10 documents, okay, maybe that adds another two. And so instead of waiting 10 seconds for my note to create, okay, well, if I give it another two seconds, it'll do all the rest of the work for me as well. So don't sleep on that automation. It makes your life so much easier to just let it, you know, take your templates, take the documents that you needed to create and just rifle them off for you.

  53. Okay. One more thing I thought, because this was good. Do you want to just quickly show off the templating? I know you touched on that a lot. And one of those cool features from one of the earlier releases was the ability to now basically drag and drop existing organizational templates into Dragon. It will reproduce it, and you'll be able to call that up and have the note input to those as well. So I'm having a lot of experience here with these.

  54. So if I want to make a new template, I can go in here. Well, here, let me show you, in fact. So this is the template creator he's talking about. You've got up to 10,000 characters to work with. have like a an example note or an example document maybe it's one of those reports you can I mean I can describe the template in here like oh I want a template and I want it to look like this and then I can sort of tell it sort of what I'm after but it's much easier most of the time to paste in an example of a template that you already like and then you tell it to process and it'll make a template for you that will output that shape the templates themselves if I go in here let me find one the syntax looks kind of like this I know it's a little intimidating to look at I promise you just tell it what you want in plain English with as much context as possible you do not need to learn how to be a computer programmer this you don't give me a new patient brief introductory sentence and then if this is a follow-up visit don't give me that section you know so I just tell it what I want and when I want it and I'm off and running and so if I want to design a custom template and tweak it or maybe it made one for me and i want to adjust it you do not have to be an ai engineer to do this but the automated tool it'll get you there a lot of the time and so if you need a quick template just paste in what you need here save it and you're good to go excellent excellent love that okay i mean i know we could go into the weeds here and we could absolutely spend hours right but oh i will i will nerd out forever if you let me But like Aaron said, you know, give us an hour, give us two hours, right?

  55. Let's get your work the way you like your note. We create it once, you apply your style, and it's going to appear how you like it every single time, which is great. So, you know, no reinventing the wheel every time, which is great. So, okay, okay. I think time-wise, like I said, Aaron could spend 10 days in this. Why don't I, just for my own sakes, try sharing my screen out before you did that? I was just curious.

  56. Maybe it would work. No, grab it back. Let's see if it cooperates with you. All right. Thank you. Okay. Let me just do this. Appreciate everyone bearing with me for a second. Come on. I love you, technology. I love you, technology. And share. Anything? Hey, there it is. That's your CNX slide. Okay. Okay, bear with me, bear with me. All right, so Aaron touched on this. So CNX Clinical Node Exchange. So all powered by Dragon Copilot.

  57. But as you saw, this kind of extends the AI documentation by directly integrating with the listed here supported EHR. So like you saw, patient appointments are gonna automatically flow through CNX. It's gonna allow providers to launch encounters with a single click, captures the conversation naturally, just like you saw, right? point out that you know this doesn't come standard with dragon right this is purchased alongside it so but as you saw it you know when used in conjunction with Dragon Copilot you know you're really talking about something next level but I also like I said you saw how easy it was for Aaron to use his voice to transfer that not everyone lives inside the EHR you know a lot of times you're working outside of that whether it's with email or other platforms that your company uses you still have the ability to transfer all the sections of that note very very easily with your So one thing I kind of make notes all over the place here, I want to point out too, for anyone that is willing to make the jump with us right now, we're offering to keep GMO for 90 days charge free.

  58. So while you get accustomed to the transition of, you know, bringing on a new solution here, we'll keep GMO for 90 days at no charge. I think that expires at the end of the year, but it just helps, right? you're accustomed to if you ever need to fall back to dmo for any reason while you get familiar with with dmo or with with Dragon Copilot um you know the idea is that a lot of the things that you do with Dragon Medical One you're supposed to be able to allow the ai to take over and that comes with a little bit of work right a little bit of training a little bit just trial and tribulation and just getting accustomed to it right so we just want to make sure that you know if you're in a pinch and you know you're working through something and you know you need more time on it that uh you can fall back on dmo so nice little offer while we transition into microsoft's latest products so um also point out that epic that's a new one that we added to this slide as well that uh probably wouldn't have been on your slides heading up to you aaron but uh like i said this is hopefully an ever-growing list but uh we've got some good players on there but by no means do i want it to deter you from bringing on co-pilot in this AI that comes with it because your EHR isn't listed.

  59. Let's be honest, Aaron, what do you think? You've probably worked with a couple hundred different EHRs at this point. Yeah, right? It's probably the right number. And, you know, on the subject of the ease of data entry, Mark is correct. If you don't happen to see your EHR on this list, don't sweat it because the voice commands to transfer the information across, it only takes a matter of seconds click transfer HPI click transfer physical exam click transfer assessment and plan and it'll rifle them across for you easy as pie yep yep okay moment of truth I'm gonna try to switch my slide here we go anything sadly not oh wait it did it it did it you're good.

  60. All right. So a good technology company knows how to kind of tease the future here. And what was the future is actually it was just released a couple of weeks ago. But what you're seeing here, you know, you heard me talk about that five billion invested in the next five years. This is kind of what you're looking at, right? So this is this is staying power, right? So Dragon Copilot is designed as an extensible platform. So what that means is it place and so within this marketplace you're going to find additional ai use cases that will integrate directly with your clinical workflow um you know you meant you heard me mention driven by physician feedback so nobody and i i i see the market i see the competition and nobody's making meaningful changes and additions faster to their platform than we can right so whether it's healthcare organizations or third-party approved microsoft partners they're all going to be able to contribute ai capabilities they're going to integrate kind of seamlessly into Dragon Copilot so look at this kind of like an ever-growing ecosystem right clinicians you'll be able to plug in organizational resources such as key ehr data directly into the workflow but there's no switching screens or opening separate applications it's just kind of instant access to the information that you require One example there is that voice biomarker analysis.

  61. I know that we are really, really close to working with the one company there. But, you know, this kind of runs in the background and, you know, it screens for things such as anxiety, depression, even goes beyond mood disorders. It can start screening for things like cognitive and neurological conditions, your Alzheimer's, your Parkinson's, your Huntington's. It's scary good is what it is, you know, starting to see some of the things that this AI is able to do.

  62. But it's like Aaron said, though, you know, you really can build the AI to your liking. Right. So that's what you see here. But definitely, you know, once you take that step, you kind of get into this marketplace and start picking and choosing these different AI applications that you want to enhance your Dragon Wish, which is really cool. OK, we're going to do another slide. Aaron? I think it's coming through. It's trying to fade into view.

  63. Yep, there it is. All right. This is the slide I kind of added without Aaron. So I literally added this slide last minute because honestly, it was updated on the Microsoft Dragon Copilot just a few days ago. But again, this is reaffirming what I keep saying about the developers at Microsoft responding to physician feedback. But, you know, what you're seeing here is updates and changes. You know, obviously, I don't have time to run through all of them.

  64. But, you know, this is what's coming out with version six. Aaron, how long ago was version five and 5.1 and 5.2? Like a month ago? 5.2, let me see, was August. August? Okay. So, you know, so from five to six within a matter of a couple months with a lot of point releases in there too, right? cool things here though, the internal sources and the 365 knowledge with DCP via WorkIQ, that is really what that's going to allow is customers to really securely access institutional knowledge.

  65. So these are kind of in-house policies, procedures, operational guidance that Dragon can actually pull from. You know, the Microsoft 365 part there, that's going to enable physicians to kind of search and summarize and reference trusted content so it'll be able to pull information from you know documents and emails and and team messages and it's going to respond with grounded like with source citations as well so um you know sometimes when we get these these releases you know it it's back end things you know for security and then other times if we feel like a kid on christmas morning and we always get the the question you know do you have to pay more when new features and enhancements and updates and absolutely not you know once you're subscribed you know unlike the marketplace or the connectors the things that they do to drag and you know the base is is is amazing right so um and that's why you know we get this a lot too making sure that you work closely with your dragon solutions partner because there's always always something more to learn and and be trained on and to grow with right which is great i always say those that get in there with the solutions early and grow along with it are the ones that absolutely get the most benefit from the products so um know that but a lot of great stuff here um because i think this is scheduled to be released mid-november aaron i think you know better than i do mid november is correct so i always keep my eye on the road map here it's really cool to see what they got coming down the pipeline so okay another really slide hate that I have to keep asking if it's working but let's give it a moment it hasn't come through yet but I think it's just transitioning slowly well I think I might have to take it back on this one all right bring me to my Phillips slide it was fun while it lasted though this is what happened to me on a boatload of technology sharing platform but okay I see it there so we get this question a lot after the webinar so figured we'd get a quick slide about it and might alleviate that but what you're seeing in front of you now this is the exact mic that Dr.

  66. Aaron was using for the encounter I want everyone to know absolutely you can use your phone lots of various devices out there that will kind of do this similar thing, but this is kind of next generation wearable technology. So this has the ability to seamlessly switch between ambient and focus dictation modes. So, you know, DMO or, you know, the front end dictation with DCP there, that's where, you know, you're speaking and the words appear in front of you.

  67. That's got that top facing microphone that's only going to capture your voice, right? Well, it also has the ability to switch into that ambient mode. So it's that that whole room right so but the big idea here is that you kind of don't even know you're wearing it right hands-free secure lightweight it's even gonna allow you to be fully engaged with your patient even more right so the technology kind of handles the documentation but know this and this is important you know AI at the end of the day it's only as good as the audio it receives right so what this device is going to do is deliver that clean audio that dragon likes to perform at its best.

  68. So just, you know, make sure that you got a device that really to pace with the various workflows that Dragon is capable of. So it's just going to make the solution that much more efficient when it's paired together. So excellent. Next slide. Oh, I actually just wanted to give one last quick point of order on the subject of the speech mic ambient, if you don't mind. I insist. So I just really, I wanted to highlight the physical dimensions of the device wearable tech these days and you can never be 100% sure what they really mean by that because everybody wants to have wearable tech and then they make it and it's too big or it's too heavy.

  69. So just to give you all a sort of an idea of scale here, it's about four inches long, maybe a quarter of an inch thick and about an inch wide. So maybe about the size of your average Twix, perhaps a couple of segments of a mounds bar, but it's very tiny. You can hold it in your hand, but it's a nice comfortable size. It fits on a lanyard. It fits in your breast It's got a little clip that you can hang it or you can clip it to like, well, like I say, to your breast pocket or to your collar.

  70. It's very, very easy to carry around. Beautiful. All right. And there we go. Okay. A couple wrap up slides. You know, it's kind of a Google review slide, but I kind of want to, you know, point a few things out. You know, it's funny. I don't think my wife's ever made a purchase or booked a vacation without going down the Google review rabbit hole these days. we get these daily Aaron and I, you know, we're not, not saving lives like you, but I really feel like, like we're changing lives.

  71. You know, Aaron, I think you got the same one as me recently. We literally had a doctor that didn't want his children to follow in his footsteps because of the burden of all the documentation. You know, he missed out on a lot of childhood things that normally you'd get to experience with his kids. And after Aaron worked with them for, you know, a couple hours, he was like, footsteps now he's like you basically have put the passion back in the profession for me and you know those are the changes that we're seeing those are the things that resonate with Aaron and I you know do every day so you know if we can make a fraction of that impact on your day today I feel like we're we're making a change for the better in the world and I know you get hundreds of these as well Aaron after you work with the doctors so you know we appreciate these we really really appreciate the feedback from everyone and they don't go unread or unnoticed.

  72. And like I said, any feedback, Aaron has a direct line of communication to the developers at Microsoft and he submits those, what is it, monthly that you provide the feedback to the coders and developers? Well, the developers are in the super secret Microsoft bunker and they only let me in there every once in a while. So really, every couple of months we send them the accumulated feedback, but they love it every time. They're very appreciative. And some of the features you've seen here today came directly from them receiving that feedback and acting on it.

  73. Excellent. Okay. I think just to wrap up slide here, but just to put a pretty bow on everything, like I said, these solutions always have been and always will be designed to give clinicians time back. What you do with that time is up to you. We've had clinics who changed their 30 minute appointments to 15 minutes appointments we've had you know grandmas that go hang out with their grandkids with that extra time but uh you know the roi and our solutions like i said you know for some people it's a matter of patience now that they're getting that roi right but um you trusted us with dmo um you know i i i just you know this is taking the next leap right i i you know the investment's minimal results are game-changing heck they're life-changing right so So I appreciate everyone's time today.

  74. Like I said, we'll follow up with each and every one of you personally. I'll reach out to your Dragon Solutions partners as well. You'll see something come in an email that will help you with next steps. If you can stick around for the question and answer, absolutely. You want to book some one-on-one time, we're here for you. So thank you once again. All right. Ready for some tough questions? We always get good questions. This is absolutely my favorite part.

  75. Me too. questions. Okay, I might start on the top here. Okay. When you say keep my DMO, I thought DMO was included with Dragon Copilot. Are you referring to my DMO app that I'm currently using? Can you just clarify? That's actually a great question. So I kind of slid that in there. But so absolutely, you know, Dragon Copilot comes standard with its own front end location, you saw Aaron click on the microphone there to transfer over the text, right?

  76. When he said transfer HPI, transfer assessment plan, that is Dragon Copilot's front-end dictation. And Aaron, I know you articulate very well. I mean, pretty much all the brains and guts of DMO have been transferred over to Co-Pilot. Yeah. One of the advantages of the monolithic size of Microsoft is that they were able to forklift up essentially the entire Dragon Medical One voice engine and bring it in to Dragon Copilot so the question is very very apt it does come with it it's built in but the idea behind retaining your Dragon Medical One standalone app that you're currently using is for that bridge interval time when you're kind of getting used to the new solution you don't have to leave the old workflow behind completely you can still have that with you you know while you're getting the new solution onboarded and getting used to using it.

  77. Excellent. Excellent. Okay. Let me go back. Is it compatible with practice fusion EMR? So, I mean, Aaron, I can let you, like, compatible. I mean, how do you say agnostic, right? Is that your keyword that you like to use, I believe? Right. Yeah. So Dragon Copilot is EHR agnostic in that for the freestanding product, you can transfer the information that it generates anywhere you like. It could be a Word document, Practice Fusion, NextGen EHR, whatever is the system that you're needing it to use, you can place that information in that spot.

  78. If the question is pertaining to the clinical note exchange connector, Practice Fusion is sadly not on the list. But again, I don't want that to make you worried because using the voice commands to transfer the information across, it makes the note and fully templates it so fast that the step of going transfer transfer transfer becomes almost immaterial in the workflow so if you don't see your EHR in the list for the clinical note exchange kind of integrated connector don't worry about it too much because it's very quick um adrian i see yours here uh i will reach out to you and your dragon partner personally.

  79. Sounds like we just need to get some customization set up there. You just want to be able to copy and paste over into our office note. Very easy. Just as the steps that Aaron outlined there, we'll be able to get you set up. Where did your exam come from since this was not a face-to-face appointment? Template? Aha. That is where the conditional logic that I was harping on earlier comes in. So there's a couple of different ways that you can essentially configure Dragon to behave when it comes to its templating.

  80. And without going too far down the rabbit hole, essentially, because I can apply conditional logic to the template, I can, for example, have a physical exam where if I don't bring up a particular topic, I can tell it, hey, if I don't mention this topic, put in this normal. So that even though Mark and I didn't talk about rate, it put in, oh, there's a regular rate and rhythm, et cetera. Like it puts it in there for me so that I don't have to remember to say it out loud every time.

  81. But this is optional. It doesn't do it by default. You can, you know, because you might not want it to do that. If you prefer to only have it document exactly what you said and nothing else, you can do that. Or if there are subsections of an exam that you don't want it to have them in the template at all, if you don't talk about that topic, so it doesn't show up as like a blank space, you can do that too.

  82. to incorporate normals, normals that are dependent upon the presence of something in the transcript or not. You know, if this was not a mental health visit, don't include this subsection. You know, the world's your oyster. So you kind of had an add-on. So during the appointment, what if the patient says, I saw my cardiologist last week. Did you get a note? so if the patient oh i see what you mean so yeah it's a it's a question about um how um how much finesse does that conditional logic have um so with regard to your specific example it's got that base covered because again without getting too deep into the technical weeds dragon isn't treating all the voices that it's hearing as the same it can understand from the context of the conversation who's the provider who's the patient who's the patient's guardian who's helping them answer questions who are the two kids in the corner talking about video games and so as long as nobody's trying to like intentionally deceive it it's not going to become confused it'll go all the way up to ten people as part of the conversation before it starts to lose track of who's who so if the patient were to say I saw my cardiologist last week it's not going to accidentally interpret that as being oh now this is a So I want to put in all the cardiology sections.

  83. It's going to be able to determine that from the full context. It won't get tripped up by a stray statement. Beautiful. Beautiful. And like I said, we'll make sure that we'll reach out one-on-one. There's a little more to that. Okay. There is integrated dragging with iPads on ModMed and spending separately on DMO for the computers in the exam rooms. that as a separate cost or would it be offset the other cost that makes sense to you there's i think so so um there is a version of Dragon Medical One so dmo has um sort of partnered versions of itself that are paired with all sorts of different medical record systems where you know that medical record worked with um nuance you know uh to make an integrated version so like Athena has a built-in one, and then Epic has a built-in one as well where there's a Dragon button.

  84. Those are separate products. For something like this, if you're getting set up with Dragon Copilot, that is something that is separate from that. If the question is related to the keeping the DMO for the 90 days thing, that applies to the freestanding DMO standalone product. I wouldn't be able to guarantee that it would be true for an embedded solution because those are often, you know, they carry different contracting and so on. So I wouldn't want to assume that in that case.

  85. Okay. We'll be a long one here. Can you dictate into your note a bunch of info prior to entering the room? Example, summarize a recent hospital stay and then have it carry on from there once you enter the room. I'm currently using freed AI and it does not allow this. It seems like this is where the marriage of Dragon and AI would be great. That is a brilliant question. So this is a very important point. A lot of the competing AI products out there are a one and done, right?

  86. You do one recording. It'll make one note for you. And then after that, all the edits are manual, right? You can't do anything else. Dragon Copilot does not suffer from this limitation. as you like all the way up to that two hour recording limit of total recorded time. And so if I have a patient who's coming up and they have a long and elaborate medical history, I can start an ambient recording, tell them everything that, you know, tell the AI everything that the patient has been through so far.

  87. And then I go into the room with the patient. I do another recording with them there and we go back and forth. But maybe there's some sensitive commentary that I don't want to say right in front of them. Or maybe there's some technical and awkward to fit into the conversation, I can do a third recording after the fact if I want to, to add in all that additional detail. Each time I add a new recording, Dragon is gonna update the note with everything new that I've told it.

  88. So it kind of redraws the painting each time. I have that flexibility. All right, that looks to be about it for now. And you'd think that we timed this perfectly for one hour because it worked out well. Thank you, Aaron, very much. Thank you to everyone with your questions. Like I said, everything to gain, nothing to lose here. Lots of different ways to get this in your hands. And like I said, if you want more of a one-on-one demo, you want to see how it behaves in your environment, we can figure all that out for you.

  89. So appreciate everyone. Enjoy the upcoming weekend. Happy Halloween. And I will promise I should be able to get this done tomorrow. Reach out to everyone, your resellers, follow-up sent out to you so you can have some time to look over things on the weekend but i wouldn't that's we're trying to keep you away from doing but uh like i said feel free to reach out one-on-one so aaron any parting words for the folks nope looking forward to working with everybody excellent all right thank you everyone and uh we'll talk soon cheers
