We'll get started. Okay okay I gave it a couple minutes I do want to get rolling though here because we absolutely got some cool new stuff to show if you've attended any of our previous webinars before and looks like we got a pretty big audience today so I'm really excited about that so absolutely welcome you know appreciate everyone's time today and you know let me say that the time is gonna be top of mind because that is exactly really the basis and the promise that we're giving to give you back in your day.
You know this solution you're going to see today this was custom built for this audience so this this invite list is is our Dragon Medical One user base right so what you're going to see it's a culmination of the years of the work that you've put into dmo with this niche medical community and really the billions of minutes of audio that you brought with it. So I'll say this, you know, personally I just had my 13th year anniversary in this industry.
So going back to the box product, watching the transition to the cloud and now seeing our world being shaped by AI and you know, this is what you've been waiting for. So, you know, the solution absolutely never been better. The price is on point. And I'll say this, I don't think I could be more excited for you to witness what I'm claiming it, you know, this is the largest leap in medical documentation and the physician patient encounter that we've ever experienced.
So welcome, welcome. Okay, couple quick quick housekeeping items. So know that we're going to follow up with each and every one of you after the webinar. So if you can't stick around for the Q&A, any of that stuff, you want some more one-on-one time, absolutely gonna be following up with you. You might see something auto-generated from go to meeting, that's just you know, the way it works, but absolutely something more actionable and concrete will follow.
You'll have access to the recorded webinar to review as well, but the next obvious thing will be, you'll have a good next steps to really embrace the technology showcase today. So like I said, we're going to leave Q&A till the end. Just ask that you use the questions box, not the chat button. And like I said, we, Aaron, myself, we stick around till the last question's asked if we have to. And speaking of Aaron, my partner in crime today, You know, I don't think I can speak more highly of him.
He's my jack of all trades. He's my Jedi master. I think we settled on on dragon with dragon wizard. And so do you want to say hello to the people mr. Dragon wizard? Hello, everybody. Hey, I think every dragon needs a wizard. I'm just saying There's there might be some Dungeons & Dragons undertones there But that's exactly the guy you want working on your dragon to make sure it's a well-oiled machine So, okay, we have a couple slides to set the stage A couple new ones and then we're going to jump it back and kind of back and forth today between the demo so you can see it in action then now like I said couple wrap-up slides Q&A and then we'll have you on your merry way so nothing worse than preaching about saving time and wasting yours so let's let's get right into it so okay so Microsoft Dragon Copilot you might hear me call it DCP Dragon Copilot, all the same thing, but the way this was designed was to support the way clinicians actually work, right?
So it's gonna have kind of a pool of talent baked into it, no matter which phase of really that patient experience you're at, right? It's gonna bring together that trusted voice dictation of Dragon Medical One. You've got the ambient listening capabilities of DAX Copilot, which was a DCP's predecessor here that that is now refined to absolutely ungodly levels here. But, and then really what we're excited to show you is this healthcare specific generative AI. So this is an all-in-one experience built specifically for clinician workflows, right?
So what you're gonna do, like I said, it's a pool of talent. You're gonna choose the right tool in the moment. So, you know, dictate your notes naturally. That's what you're all accustomed to. Let that ambient AI summarize that patient encounter while you focus solely on the patient, or what you're going to see today is that generative AI, and we're going to use that to help complete, really, an insane amount of enhancements that these are what's going to extend beyond the patient visits.
So, I don't get too much into security like I used to anymore. We absolutely can provide any of the most stringent IT personnel with enough documentation to make their head spin, but know that this is all hosted on the Microsoft Azure platform. For me being a non-techie person, I say it like this. This is the most secure hosting platform in the world, hard stop. Aaron calls it virtually bulletproof, right? So just to reiterate, Dragon Copilot's gonna, you know, reduce that documentation burden.
It's gonna preserve that focus on the patient. It's gonna give clinicians their time back. It's gonna promote physician wellbeing. You've got unlimited access to an AI assistant. We're gonna show you how this can drive meaningful financial impact. It's gonna cook dinner, do the laundry, it's all here. So here we go. Okay, so I called myself out. I said this was the largest leap in medical documentation ever witnessed. So what I want to do now is kind of make it all digestible so that when you see the demo, you see what we're talking about.
So I kind of sorted this into three pillars, right? Design to support the clinicians before, during, and after the patient counter. So, and I will say this, I understand the industry, I know what else is out there. Nobody is going as far as deep beyond capturing the patient encounter as we are, and honestly, we'll continue to do so. And I can say continue to do so because I think recently, it was 5 billion in the next five years, Microsoft invested to keep this platform cutting edge.
You know, It's thousands of researchers and developers on staffs. We have doctors on staff. you know, that There's some staying power here to say the least. you know, I've seen multiple AIs come and go already through you know, the first couple of years that we've really been in this kind of industry with AI taken over. So know that you know, something that they have a lot of eggs in this baskets, make sure that this platform is cutting edge now and moving forward.
So your first pillar, you know, this is your streamlined documentation. So this is all done through ambient note creation, your natural language dictation, your DMO, right? You're all familiar probably with customizable templates, but now we're going to show you AI powered prompts, right? These are all the things that are going to streamline that documentation portion of the patient encounter, right? It's going to give you control over how the document is created as well. So you're going to be able to get that output exactly how you see fit, the way it looks, the way it behaves, all that good stuff.
Unfortunately, there's no symmetry in healthcare. How you chart and how your neighbor charts is probably completely different, right? So look for that. The second pillar, this is that surfaces critical information directly within the workflow. This is going to give you access to medical information. and you're gonna be able to receive encounter guidance. For example, you could ask it questions like, what types of vaccines are recommended for a trip to Honduras? What side effects are possible with this prescription?
Look up here. Yep. I apologize for interrupting. It looks like the slide is not advancing. Am I still on my title slide? It's the three-point slide, Dragon Medical One DAX fine-tuned generative AI. Hold on a second. It wouldn't be the first time this happened. All right, do you have the three pillars now? Automate tasks? I don't think so. Try advancing an extra slide forward and then backing up. All right, thank you. Go to meeting. What do you see now?
Well, I'm afraid it's still the same. Try canceling your screen share and then bringing it back up. Oh, now we see interface to further optimize workflows. Okay, now I wanna go back one. Transform the way clinicians work. It must not like that slide. That's crazy. Okay Let me go back. I'll go to the next. Can you see this one and I'll just wrap up what I was saying So what we're seeing right now is the copilot chat interface to further optimize workflows.
No, you're right. It absolutely Yeah, skip the slide. So I had a slide with three pillars on it before during and after the patient encounter I was just moving from the second pillar with that's your AI where you can ask it things like look up the ICD 10 codes for these Diagnostics your third pillar that was beyond documentation. So you'll see all this in the demo, but this is where the AI can really Come up with a bunch of different after-visit, you know kind of Enhancements referral letters prepare orders summarize evidence.
We'll make sure to spend a little extra time on that during the demo So, okay, so really what this last slide was, was this was 30 more seconds about the AI because really the possibilities are endless with how we can train the AI. So, like I said, you know, as much as we wish there was symmetry in healthcare, it's just not the case, right? And so it's these AI powered prompts and really that natural language chat interface that we can use to customize the output of the note to your liking.
So again, non tacky hat, I call this Hey Siri, but with access to more medical data than the entire archives of the Library of Congress, you know, that's a real stat to we're in the hundreds of something terabytes, but the nice thing to know about our AI and how it pulls information is that it's all done through credible healthcare appropriate sources. I'm talking like the CDC, the FDA, Aaron will show these off, but this is something to take note of.
You know, There's a lot of other AIs out there that when they pull their information, it's using the entire internet as a source. You know, I mentioned that we bring with us billions of audio of medical information And with that information along with the credible sources that's what our AI is trained on to make sure that the output of that note is what you are looking for so but like I said it's through this chat interface that you speak to it like you want to see happen you know edit summarize retrieve any other verbs you can come up with right but instead of having to search through documentation switching applications you simply speak for what you need so clarifying assessment, refining a note, review key details from the account or all that good stuff, right?
So, okay. All right. Hopefully my slides are still switching. So this is a new slide for this presentation. So what we're presenting today, which we didn't last month is this, this is the latest iteration of Dragon Copilot. This is 5.0. It happened about a week ago. I hate to say this, Mark, but it did not advance. Try breaking your screen share and then resharing it out. I'm sorry, I've never had this much trouble on a demo.
Okay, let me do that. I'm going to stop sharing my screen for a second. All right, ready Aaron? What do you got? Let's give it a second to process through because at the moment it's showing a blank screen. It's showing your demo slide now. Okay, how about DCP 5.0? I'm afraid not. Try advancing the slide again and then backing up. Okay, I still showing the demo slide Okay, we're gonna wing it. We're gonna wing it folks.
We can do this We practice. So, okay What I want you to see is a slide about Dragon Copilot 5.0 Honestly, this was released about a week ago We're Aaron can attest to this. We're still uncovering really I'd call them Aaron unpublished findings that have enhanced the solution So this was a big, big uptick of an iteration here. So if you could see my slide, you'd see two of them that really stuck out to me that I wanted to bring attention to before we start the demo.
But you know, you heard me talk about the AI there now. So now this AI, we call it AI at the cursor. So previously the AI was used in conjunction with the generated note to kind of influence and adjust the findings, seek medical information. And that was all done within the Dragon Copilot application. So this new AI, it can be used on any focused area. So think, you know, especially within your EHR, the information in your EHR, you'll be able to use the AI to manipulate it, to uncover things, to ask questions, really to perform a multitude of tasks, right?
You can help it to shape the note to your liking within the EHR where before you used to have to do that within the Dragon Copilot application, right? but I'm telling you, there's a million things this AI can do now, but big picture here. You're now gonna have access to the built-in AI to be used in any other application to complete the required work. You know, this is absolute possibilities are endless here. And then the second thing I wanted to talk about was the template creation.
So Aaron was becoming an absolute wizard and still is in creating and prompting templates through the AI. You know, this really was the best feature, one of the best features that we used to like over any other competitor on the market. And what they went and did was made this best feature even better and took away the manual piece to it, right? So think about this, you know, any new or existing templates that you require from a patient visit, you know, a lot of these are probably unique to your individual vitamin, but they can be absolutely uploaded.
Drag and drop here and the AI will build it out automatically. And then the cool part is that you can construct the AI to produce immediately after the encounter so that these templates are at your fingertips once the encounter is completed. You can have it create templates as well simply by giving it instructions of what you need. I've seen that in action and it's absolutely cool. But think about it this way, any forms, documents that you require are just welcomed as a nice to have.
These can be generated on demand after the encounter, right? And the AI will purposely produce them straight from that encounter. So list goes on and on here. I know you can't see my note, but you know, this is procedure notes, patient education materials, prescription, medical leave, insurance, discharge summary. I think, Aaron, you had it up to like 20 before it maybe started breaking or something like that with all the template that you produced. Yep, you can get it to rifle off a whole stack of documents for you before it starts to struggle.
Okay. All right. Well, I just switched my slide to the demo slide. Hopefully, that's the one you're seeing now. It is. Okay. Well, I think this is a good time for me to look at things. And Aaron, why don't I give you the floor for a few here and we'll get going here. All right. Let me share my screen. Give me just a moment to bring this up for you all. And I believe we want to share this monitor And click.
And there we go. Is that coming through clearly for everyone? I think it looks like it is in my end. OK, I see some thumbs up. Perfect. Okay. So a couple of things we're going to look at here today. So this is Microsoft Dragon Copilot. What you're seeing is the fully installed desktop version of the application. There are a couple of other versions of it, depending on how you need to operate. I can run Dragon Copilot in a Google Chrome tab or a Microsoft Edge tab, works just fine.
And for those who need it, you can download the Dragon Copilot app, which is available for iOS, which is the iPhone. It runs on the iPad platform as well, and it'll also run in Android. So however you need to get at Dragon Copilot, it's got your back. I'm going to go ahead and sign in. Over here, I'm going to input my password information. Now, I'm going to go ahead and do this right now and get myself logged in.
Two-factor authentication. Got to make sure that data is super secure so that the IT guys don't yell at me. Make sure I'm compliant with all relevant laws and rules. Let's see right here. Approve sign in, and there we go. And the good news is I actually only have to do this once. Once I'm signed in, I can instruct it to save my credentials. And then moving forward, I can just double click on the icon and log in.
But I wanted to show off the security just a little bit there. This is the main screen for Dragon Copilot. Over here on the left is where my patient sessions are going to populate. I have a search feature that I can use, because if I see a ton of patients over here, I might want to be able to look up a specific one. I can search for them, I can filter by a specific date range, and then I have filters over here that I can use to kind of thin out the list and keep it manageable over time.
I'm gonna go ahead and make a new patient session. And this is the main screen for Dragon Copilot. For folks who have been following these webinars for a while, the interface looks a little bit different in the 5.0 edition. It's much more streamlined, much more straightforward. The note, when it's written, is front and center, right here in the patient session. You don't have to go looking for it. And then over here, we'll get to this in a moment, this is the generative AI that Mark was talking about earlier where I can get it to create secondary documents for me.
These ones come with the program, but I can also use the template builder to build additional ones of my own. To use the workflow, all I do is click this button here. That starts my ambient recording. Dragon Copilot will start to passively listen to the conversation, collecting that information, and then turning that into a fully written note. It'll go up to 10 people in the conversation. So if you have somebody who's with their parent or guardian, maybe they brought their kids with them, you don't have to worry about the AI getting confused.
It's able to track who the participants are in the conversation and what their role in the conversation is. So it'll prioritize or exclude their input accordingly based on the context of who's asking the questions, who's answering them and who you're paying attention to as the provider. Right next to it, I have the ability to enable my dictation, so once the note is written, I can put my own words into the note to plug any gaps, add my own personal insights in my own language, just in case I want to augment the output that the AI is writing for me.
I'm also going to have access to a full copy of the transcript of the conversation, so once I do my recording, if I want to review exactly what was said, it's going to appear right here in this discreet little button all right Mark are you about to fall suddenly ill with a case of strep throat I'm about to fall suddenly ill because I just read the chat and how many people can see my slides so yes I'm feeling a little ill okay all right give me just a moment I'm gonna switch up my audio just a hair so that my dragon can hear you talking let's see here for those who are curious, Mark and I are physically nowhere near each other and so you will be able to notice immediately that Dragon Copilot is fully compatible with telehealth because it's going to make a note just fine for the two of us even though I'm in Tennessee and he's in Canada.
Mark, do you want to give me a quick check one two? Check one two. Perfect. Okay. I'm going to go ahead and start our recording and here we go. Hi, Mark. I understand you're having a little bit of a trouble with a sore throat and maybe some nausea today. I'm sorry to hear you're under the weather. or can you tell me a little bit about what's bothering you? Yeah, no, I appreciate you seeing me to talk.
So really what's been going on is, well, you know, it started as some, well, really some sore throat for about three days now. Seems to be getting worse, I guess. It's taking over-the-counter medication. My best friend has been Advil Cold and Sinus, but really hurts a lot when I swallow, had a fever on and off, I felt pretty tired. I'd say worse are probably the chills. Okay, I'm sorry to hear that. I love, that. I like Advil Cold and Sinus too for those, whenever you feel like you got a bug, it's always a good place to start.
You mentioned you were experiencing some pain when swallowing. Have you been experiencing a choking sensation or are you able to swallow solid food without a problem and it just hurts? No, my throat hurts a lot when I, when I swallow. The fever has really been on and off, but, you know definitely a pain a sharp pain when I swallow okay and then I see they took your temperature when you came in here to the office today and it's sitting at 101.5 which is which is high it does indicate that you've come down with something have you been around anybody that might have been sick uh yeah I'd say last week you know and this is kind of you know light bulb went off I went on a field trip with my son and you know one of the kids looked sick and now that I think about it, They all look sick, but it was coughing most of the day.
My son was perfectly fine, but we were around a lot of people. Where'd you go Where'd you go with your son? Was it a school trip or a vacation? Yeah, no, it was a school trip. It was a natural history museum. So, son dragged me all over the dinosaur exhibit. So, it was a good time. Okay. Well, it sounds like a worthy cause. I can think of worse reasons to come down with something. Let's take a look at you and see what we're up against.
If you want to get up on the examine table here, I'm going to listen to your heart first. Your heart sounds are normal. That's good news there. I'm going to listen to your lungs. Lungs are clear to auscultation bilaterally. Also good news. Not seeing any sign of drainage in your ears and no redness in the ears. That's good. Nose looks normal. Eyes look normal too. All right. Let's go ahead and see where the action is. You want to open your mouth and say, ah.
ah, all right. Your throat is really red and I do see some signs of what we call tonsillar exudate at the back there. It's basically drainage from an infection, kind of a white patchy substance. And then I do see your tonsils as well are enlarged, looks like plus one on the right and plus two on the left. You can go ahead and close your mouth. Looks like you might have come down with a case of strep throat, which has been going around lately and it's very transmissible, particularly in gatherings.
We're going to do a rapid strep test in the office today, just do a throat swab to double check. But if it comes back positive, we can get you some antibiotics to treat that infection. Do you have any allergies that I should be aware of? Ah, Yep, penicillin. Penicillin. Yep, yep. That's no problem. Learn that one the hard way. We can stay away from the penicillin-based antibiotics. We'll do azithromycin. That's a five-day course. You should start feeling better after only about 48 hours, but I want you to take the full course all the way to the end We want to make sure that infections completely gone and there's no chance of it coming back and we're gonna need you to throw Away your toothbrush as well.
I can do all that All right, nurse is gonna come in and take that throat swab and we'll be back with you in a few minutes Excellent. Thank You doc All right I'm gonna go ahead and stop my recording there now It only takes usually 10 or 15 seconds for Dragon Copilot to create a note. And this is true whether or not I have it being, pardon me, 10 or 15 seconds. Did I say minutes? I might've said minutes.
If I said minutes, I meant seconds. It's very fast, I promise. You're gonna see it right here in front of you. That timeframe applies even if I'm having it apply templating or create secondary documents for me. So you don't have to worry about limiting the way that you're using the software in the name of speed. It's going to go ahead and make our transcript, that's what comes first, and you can see here, this is Mark and I going back and forth.
And then the note is going to come through. Now once the base note is produced, this base note is driven by your specialty. The list of supported specialties is very large. I haven't set the family medicine for me at the moment, but pretty well any medical discipline that you might be involved in is available here in this. and if you do multiple specialties, you can switch it and then Dragon will react and make the new templates according to whatever you've switched.
So the base note is driven by that specialty and usually it's very good all on its own. That being said, if I want to apply my own custom template, I can do that and you just actually saw it apply my custom template to this note. I've got a purpose of visit right here. My template actually leverages what they call transcript aware functionality. So I can instruct the template to draw on the circumstances and even the verbiage of the conversation itself.
So here I'm quoting Mark's own words for exactly what he feels is wrong here in the template, but I can also have it use conditional logic to adjust the shape of the note, depending upon the substance of the conversation. What you can't see here in this HPI is there are actually additional template sections for mental health history, surgical history, but because we didn't discuss those topics, those sections intelligently removed themselves from the output. So however I need the note to shape or to shape itself, I can use the programming of the template to accomplish that.
So the note always comes through exactly the way I want it. So here's our HPI. I'm going to scroll down. There's our review of systems. Here's a physical exam template that I built out that's a little bit more kind of verbose. It's got you know, discrete sections with bullet points underneath each one for the findings instead of like a little block. Some people like the little block. It makes for a nice concise note, but some folks like to see it spread out.
So however you want it to look, Dragon is gonna be able to accommodate that. And then down here we have an assessment and plan. Now again, leaning in the direction of that generative AI, one of the functions that it offers is the ability to go and look up my codes for me and I can use them and I can put them right in the note or I can have them appear as little notifications down here and then I can tell it to update by clicking this button.
That generative AI functionality is driven from this bottom right-hand corner right here. I can dictate and type in or dictate in instructions to the AI and have it carry out those actions. Don't get me wrong, I love this little chat box. It's an extremely powerful tool. I can ask it whatever I want. What are the vaccine recommendations for this patient's vacation plans? I don't even have to tell it where those vacation plans are in my prompt.
It's going to go read the transcript and find out. But it's way faster to program the system to do these things automatically. And that is where the advanced templating really comes through in spades, is programming it so that all you need to do is record your patient visit and then Dragon picks up the ball and takes it from there all the way to the end zone. Speaking of which, the secondary documents. Here's my referral letter, just in case I need it.
Here's a letter to the patient. And then I've got a consultation summary as well. And these are just the ones that the program comes with. If I wanted to make a doctor's note to exempt somebody from work or school or both, maybe I want to have a note that's shaped differently for a follow-up that's like a shorter, more condensed documentation of the visit. I can create those templates, add them to this list here on the left, and Dragon will make them all at once so I don't have to pick and choose and I don't have to tell it to create that you know other document as a second step and then having it do all that work for me even if it's just in case I need it the processing doesn't take any longer and so I may as well cover my bases and have it build whatever I need just in case I need to call upon it.
All right shall we add some dictation? Mark, do you smoke or consume alcohol? Not today. All right. So I can turn on my dictation with this checkbox down here. If I'm using a microphone that has intelligent button functionality, I can use that as well. Or if, say, I'm using a headset, I can also click this little microphone icon right next to the note section itself. So however I want to shoot in a couple of extra lines of text, I have easy access to that control.
Patient denies alcohol and tobacco use period, just like that. And so I can go in and get my note all prepped. Now from here, oh let's go ahead and rename this patient session as well. That way I can keep track of things on the patient list. So we'll call this Mark and then we'll put in his patient number here and then we'll say he has a sore throat. You'll notice also that I can dictate this in.
So whenever I'm clicking around wherever I see this little microphone I have active dictation at that location. Alright and now his note is labeled so that back in my patient list, I can keep track of what's going on. Okay, so from here, all I need to do is get this note out of Dragon and into my medical record. Now, happens to be the case that I'm not actually a medical practitioner. So normally, they wouldn't let me have a copy of an EHR, but they will let me have a sandbox version of Athena.
So just, you know, whether you use a different EHR, just be aware, you know, going into here, I'm just using this as an example. So I'm going to go ahead and go into a patient visit. Let's find one that I've got Ta-da-dum. Okay, how about this one and I Want to get my note into place. So let's go to my exam and Then let's go into say The review of systems we use this as our sample note field and what I want to do is get this note in and so I'm going to switch my Dragon Copilot into narrow mode so I can kind of look at them both at the same time, and I'm going to get my note into position.
Now, there's a couple of ways that I can do this, and it all depends upon what types of data entry your medical record system supports. The first is I've got some integrated copy and paste tools. I can select a note section, I can hit a little copy button, and then I can head over to the corresponding box of the medical record and paste it in. Easy peasy, lemon squeezy, very straightforward. Now depending on your medical record, I also have access to voice commands to move this information across.
So I'm going to go ahead and turn on my dictation microphone here, transfer HPI. And so I can move these over with a voice command. I can maneuver around my medical record. And then as I go, I can fire the different note sections into place. And that's the transfer step, which is kind of the end of the workflow. I move my note sections into place. I head to the end of my exam, I sign my note, and I'm good to go.
And if I need to, I can dictate over here as well. So if I transfer something over and then something is not right, I can make an adjustment. So let me paste that back in here. And this is where I want to demonstrate that AI at the cursor functionality here. So I'm going to tell Dragon to focus, make this note section more concise. And what it's going to do, I just want to make sure it's not picking up my data.
Yeah, OK, we're good. OK. So it is going to analyze the text that I've highlighted and then process that edit request. Now again, the supported nature of this functionality depends a lot on what medical record system you're using. So when you're thinking, oh wow, that's a really cool feature, don't get me wrong, it's really cool, I'm loving it. But we do wanna make sure that at any given moment, we are double checking. So right now, for example, and I probably should have double checked this ahead of time, So I got egg on my face now too, Mark.
It's not just your slides. My Athena note is not supporting the AI at the cursor functionality because this is a brand new feature and it's currently being expanded. So double check with your partner to make sure that the medical record system that you use supports this functionality if that's something that you really want to make sure you can leverage. Always check your bases. All of the partners have been kind of educated on these different systems and can answer those questions for you.
All right, and that, as they say, is that. I make one patient session for each patient. I then add recordings to that patient session in whatever order that I wish. And then Dragon will create my note. It'll create my secondary documents. And then I've got the copy and paste functionality and those voice commands that I can use to move my note into place wherever I need it before I sign it. And then again, depending upon what medical record system I'm using, I can leverage all the fun new tools that just came out as well.
Mark, did I miss anything? Lots. Oh dear. I'll bring it up. I noticed you mentioned about 10 speakers. Another update was the 58 languages that we now support, the 120 minute session times per encounter. And then do you want to quickly maybe just show off how it auto-populates the referral letters and letter to patient there I see on the left, Just kind of show the folks those AI enhancements and how the templates they create themselves there too if they wanted like I spoke about.
So this is the referral letter. It made it for me at the exact same moment that it made the rest of the note. The consultation summary, this is like if I were going to be communicating with another physician it's written in more technical language. And then the letter to the patient is written in patient friendly language. So if I wanted to print this off and give it to them so they have something to take home that's a little more comprehensible that's what this is for.
As long as we're talking about the template engine what Mark is referring to is this guy right here. If I say new template I get a box and all I need to do is describe to Dragon what sort of template I need or if I have one that I already own like if I have a template that I typically use I can paste it in here and then it will convert it into a template that looks more like this.
This is the HPI template that we used here in this note. So these subsections, transcript didn't indicate that it was a pre-op visit so it left that out. And then down here there's our chief complaint, subjective problem, past medical history, but we didn't discuss the past medical history so it left that subsection out. Same with surgical and mental health. And that's the strength of the templating engine. I can paste in a template and it will construct this on my behalf so that I don't have to learn this syntax.
Now, don't get me wrong. If you want to go in here and do it manually, you still can. And it's not actually that hard to learn. You don't have to learn a special programming language or anything. You just kind of tell it what you want with as much context as possible. It looks like this is the editor. And and I just kind of pick which note section I want to do and tell it what I need.
But the automation makes it easier than it's ever been so that you don't necessarily have to have you know, experience with AI to build out whatever templates you might need to make use of. Brilliant. Brilliant. I'm nervous to take the screen back. All right. Well, yeah, you go ahead, because I know that we want to cover the clinical note exchange piece. Yeah, I did send you the slides as well. I got some good advice on the chat just in case, but...
Well, I tell you what, in that case here, let me see if I can quickly fire up your slide deck. What do you see though? I just did it. One moment. I'm afraid your slide is not coming through. Technology is not your friend today. Don't blame Canada. Give me just one moment. I've got your slide deck and I'll share it from my screen. We'll see if it comes through a little bit more cooperatively. You have to talk though, because I'm not as good as, not as good at speaking as you are.
That's fine. That's fine. Let me know when my slides up. Okay. And that will be a, this is the next connector one. just after the demo. Let's see if it comes through. All right. Is that slide displaying? It still says I'm sharing my screen. I think you have to take the screen over. Oh, you're right. Share and this one, share. I've got the title screen showing on your end. All right, let's see if. Yeah, yeah, you're flying through the slides.
It looks great. My computer likes me better than you. Oh, look at that slide. There's the demo slide. There's your CNX connector slide. So there's one more thing that we want to show you with the Athena EHR there. Basically, what you're looking at now is the clinical node exchange. So this is all gonna be powered by Microsoft Dragon Copilot, but what this is gonna do, it's gonna extend kind of beyond that ambient AI documentation by integrating directly with supported EHRs.
So you know, from patient appointments, you can actually have it automatically flow into the Cinex, we call it the clinical node exchange. That's gonna allow providers to kind of launch encounters with a single click You'll be able to capture the conversation naturally and then return that structured clinical note directly to the patient's chart So we saw Aaron use his voice We saw him use a copy and paste feature all amazing tools to be able to get that patient information into the chart And giving you a lot of that control as well But this is really gonna add another layer call it to enable clinics to kind of clinicians to stay focused on the patient right, it's really a seamless workflow.
This is a compelling value proposition for healthcare organizations looking to kind of improve efficiency. And really what it does is it excels Dragon Copilot's adoption through integrated workflows, right? So note from the screen, this is not something that comes standard with Dragon Copilot. This is an amazing third party application that's purchased alongside it. But I'll tell you right now, if the shoe fits and the EHRs that you're looking for is a supported application. It is something that's absolutely worth exploring.
So, Aaron, do you wanna quickly show off how, because you're using Athena, that you're able to take that generated note from DCP and have it sync with Athena? Yes. So, let me... Okay. So, first off, what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna go ahead and close up my Dragon Copilot because Clinical Note Exchange, which is this guy right here, this kind of jewel heart icon has its own dashboard. So if I'm using the connector, rather than going directly to Dragon Copilot, I come here instead and I sign in on this.
Let me log in. Ba-ba-ba-bum-bum. Let me launch it on my other monitor. I think it doesn't like my screen share. It's trying to be secure. I wonder if all the technology we're using is outgrown our sharing platform? Well, the trouble is it doesn't like me because I'm not using a secure connection because it can tell that I'm sharing my screen. Give me just a moment. Let me stop the screen share and then launch it. Okay. What do you know?
Okay, Well, now let's see if I can keep it fooled if I launch my screen share now. So if you're ever curious, when Mark was talking about the security features associated with these programs to make sure that everything is compliant with relevant federal laws etc etc this is exactly what we're talking about the developers who create these things you know you hear third-party app developer and you're like oh, I don't know about that. these folks are not messing around when it comes to making sure that you can't possibly get in trouble by leveraging their tools give Let me just a moment here.
These are Microsoft approved third party applications. OK. I promise you we practice this, too. Let's see. Yeah, no kidding. Well, you know, the funny thing about it, you know, without wishing to sound too glib, is that using these tools in a demonstrative context is actually harder than using them in a real workflow, because the systems are designed such that you're not supposed to be able to show them to people, right? It's supposed to be secure and private.
So when you build versions out that are compatible with an online platform, there we go. Okay, I will now share out my screen. Is that coming through clearly to everybody? Yes. Okay, huzzah, we've managed to circumvent their security ever so briefly. Now, It may drop the anvil on me as we go. So just in case, you know, be aware, you know, if you look at it and something goes screwy, it's actually trying to protect you. All right, so if I'm using my clinical app connector, I don't have to create the patient sessions.
When I go into my medical record and I create an appointment for one of my patients, that appointment is going to define what shows up here in this list. It's gonna come in and say, oh, I've connected to the EHR and I can see the appointments and here they are. So I go into the appointment for today. This is the one that I'm going to use Annabel white from two o'clock and Instead of firing up Dragon Copilot on my computer.
I fire it up here instead and so The same Dragon Copilot interface that you just saw loads up Here inside of the clinical app connector and the controls are identical The only difference is they're going to populate directly into the medical record once I finish up my recording So I'm going to go ahead and do that right now. I'm going to go ahead and start a recording. I'm not going to do another back and forth with Mark.
I'm going to do a monologue and make a note real quick so you can see how it all goes in. Today, I met with Mark McIntyre, who came in complaining of a persistent sore throat that had been bothering him for three days. He's been taking over-the-counter Advil, cold, and sinus to handle the symptoms. He mentioned that he might have become ill while attending a school trip with his son the Natural History Museum. On physical examination, his heart sounds were normal with a regular rate and rhythm.
His lungs were clear to auscultation bilaterally. Ears were not red and there was no sign of drainage. Nose was normal. Eyes were also normal. Throat was erythematous with swelling of the tonsils bilaterally, plus one on the left side, plus two on the right side. The patient mentioned that he's allergic to penicillin, so we'll be prescribing him a five-day course of azithromycin. He was instructed to follow up with the office if symptoms did not improve within 48 hours or if they began to worsen.
He was instructed to take the entire five-day course to ensure that the infection was cleared and he was instructed to discard his toothbrush and replace it as well. All right, so I stopped my recording and it's gonna make a note just like you saw earlier. It's gonna make the secondary documents just like you saw earlier and it's gonna apply the template just like you saw earlier. The functionality within this clinical node exchange environment is identical to the functionality that you find inside of BaseDragon Copilot.
It is worth mentioning that if I'm using the clinical app connector, there's nothing stopping me from also using Dragon Copilot. The licenses run together, so if I want to use the one tool for some of my visits and then this one for other visits, I can do that. I'm not locked into one or the other workflow. So if I have say multiple EHRs that I interact with and one of them is compatible with clinical node exchange And the other one is not I can still get this so that I can take advantage of this Functionality for the one and then use regular dragon for the other.
All right, we're gonna give it just a moment to finish processing and Then once it reports that it is complete. I'll show you how this note goes into my Athena sandbox Okay, so my note is now in place I'm going to go ahead and close up the note and then I'm going to head back to the main Athena screen which is going to refresh and you'll note that the color has changed and now I have this upload to EHR button which I'm going to press and then over here on my other screen I'm going to log into my Athena sandbox.
I'm going to go in and take a look at my appointment list. All right and let's head into Annabel White. I want to make sure I don't go too fast. In theory, if you go ripping quick, it is possible to get ahead of it. It takes like five seconds or so for the sync to show up. And you have to refresh the screen at least once. So I'm going to go into the exam. And there it is.
There's my physical exam. There's my assessment and plan. It's all right there waiting for me. I can review it, make any edits I need to, sign it, and move on. And that is clinical note exchange from one end all the way to the other. I don't even have to create a patient session for each patient. I just fire up my dashboard, click into the appointment, record my visit, add any dictation that I want to, click the sync to EHR button, and then head over to my medical record to sign it, and then I'm done.
Beautiful. Can you share my slides over again, please? I can. Thank you. I got to get back to the slide we were on though. I think it was number seven. And then now we're on number eight. Here we are. Excellent. All right, all right. So coming up on time. So I'm going to speed this up a little bit through, honestly, no fault of our own, but that's the world we live in. So a good technology company, that's what I'm calling us, right?
We know how to tease the future. And that's kind of exactly what you're seeing in front of you. You know, I mentioned five billion invested in the next five years to keep the platform cutting edge. So Dragon Copilot, it's designed as an extendable platform. And so that comes with a marketplace. And what that marketplace does is it's actually gonna unlock additional AI use cases directly within the Dragon Copilot workflow, right? This is all driven by physician feedback.
And I'll tell you this too, no one can pivot and make meaningful changes and additions faster to their platform than we can. You know, How quickly they were able to come out with 5.0 over 4.0 because of physician feedback was absolutely insane, right? But really what you're seeing is healthcare organizations, third-party partners approved by Microsoft, they're all gonna be able to contribute AI capabilities. And these are gonna integrate directly to within Dragon Copilot. I mean, it's an ever-growing ecosystem, right?
So think about it, you know, questions, you're also gonna be able to plug in organizational resources. So things such as key EHR data, that can flow directly into the workflow. No openings, no switching screens, no opening separate applications. This is just gonna be instant access to the information that you require. You know, One of the third party applications that we've got to work with is a voice biomarker analysis one. So our solution, what it will do, it'll actually screen that encounter that Dr.
Aaron and I did and that voice biomarker analysis application, it can screen for things. anxiety, depression, but it actually goes beyond mood disorders that can be used to screen for early detections of cognitive and neurological conditions such as Parkinson's and Huntington's, right? But this is an ever, ever growing list of AI enhancements that you're going to be seeing brought to the Dragon Copilot platform. So, I mean, it's just more capabilities in a single seamless workflow, right?
These are all gonna be used to help the physician and patient encounter before and during after the exams. So look for good things to come from here. You can actually access some of these now. And like I said, it's like the kid on Christmas morning every time I go in there, I don't know what I'm gonna find. So they're great, so excellent. Next slide, please. I Love saying next slide, please. All right, so we get this question a lot after the webinar.
So I figured I'd do a slide about it to kind of alleviate that. But what you're seeing in front of you, now this is the exact mic that Dr. Aaron was using for our encounter. Don't get me wrong, you can absolutely still use your phone and other devices depending on what type of dictation you're doing. But this is next generation wearable technology. And so this actually has the ability to kind of seamlessly switch between ambient and focus dictation mode.
So you know, focus being the front end dictation, it has a front-facing microphone that will only pick up your voice and eliminate any ambient sound, then you have the ability to switch to an array microphone. That's what's going to capture that whole room and up to 10 different speakers that Aaron talked about here. But the big idea is that really you don't even know you're wearing it. It's hands-free, absolutely secure, lightweight. It's going to allow you to stay even more fully engaged with your patients, right?
Well, the technology is going to handle all that documentation in the background. So, you know, personally, I've seen this, the AI, it really is only as good as the audio that it receives. So what this device is gonna allow is that clean audio that Dragon really likes to perform at its best, right? So, you know, go back as many iterations as Dragon as you want, but, you know, making sure that you've got a good piece of hardware to support the robust, powerful softwares that go with it is really important, right?
So Aaron, I know you always like to compare the size of it to a chocolate bar, so why don't you go ahead. Or not, he compares it to a Twix bar. I lose you, Aaron. Oh, sorry, my microphone was muted. Okay, so two things. The first is that on the subject of switching between the two modes, you don't have to like press a toggle switch to make it switch modes or anything. The front button that you see here, that activates the focus dictation that comes from this microphone up here that focuses just on your voice.
And then this button here on the side, that turns the ambient on and off. So it's two buttons, one for the ambient, one for the focus dictation. You don't have to worry about remembering which mode it's in and pressing a toggle switch to swap it back and forth. You press one button for one function and one button for the other. It's as simple as that. And in terms of the size of it, much debate has been had around the office as to the best way to describe The appropriate size of how big this thing is because it really is quite small It's a really tight little piece of equipment this picture, you know, sometimes it's a little difficult to tell the scale The most accurate that I have heard so far was from one of our partners who said it's the size of two Mounds bar segments and so, you know, it's about four inches long Maybe an inch and a quarter wide and about oh two-thirds of an inch thick So, you know, maybe one of those small size Snickers bars.
Anyway, it's very tiny You can put it on your breast pocket. It's got a little clip that it comes with nice little, nice little bit of, uh, equipment here. Excellent. Excellent. All right. Let's power through these last two slides. I do not want to go over time. So I know, uh, their time is valuable. Basically, this is my Google review slide. You know, I, I, I don't think my wife has made a purchase ever without going down a Google review rabbit hole, but no, Aaron and I, we receive feedback daily.
And we appreciate it. You know, One that hit recently was a doctor not wanting his children to follow in his footsteps because you know, physician burnout for the last 10, 20 years, right? But what we were able to do from him, and he sent us an email that you know, he'd be proud for his children to do what he does. You know, and Aaron, I know you receive a lot of these too, but this is tied, trusted, and true, right?
We absolutely weren't the first to market with Dragon Copilot, and there was a reason for that, right? our product has, like I mentioned, it's staying power. So you know that you probably have a peer that's used Dragon Medical One that might already be using Dragon Copilot. No, we love, love putting common folks together. You know, If that's something you're interested in, you know, absolutely reach out to your partners and we can put you in touch with your peers so you can get some real world feedback as well.
So next slide with one minute to go. All right. Last slide and we absolutely Aaron and I will stick around for questions but I know some of you an hour means an hour so like I said now ultimately you know this solution at the end of the day all of our predecessors have been designed to give clinicians time back but a big thing that we're noticing with this too is it the ability that allows you to be fully present with your patients.
You know I talked about ROI a little bit it's ROI is something I've been talking about since I've been selling Dragon for over a decade and, you know, we used to measure it in a matter of, you know, it went from months to weeks. Now we're seeing ROI in a matter of patients. You know, that's how far we've progressed. So everyone on this call, you know, you trusted us with DMO. This is the next evolution. You know, it's time to take the leap.
AI isn't going anywhere. As much as it scares me sometimes, you know, it's sometimes in a good way. But I promise, you know, the investment, it's minimal, but the results, they're game-changing. Heck, actually, they're life-changing. So if you have to go, thank you for your time today. We're gonna follow up with each and every one of you with a recorded webinar. We absolutely can carve out some one-on-one time. Your Dragon Solutions partner will be notified of your attendance and registration today as well.
So like I said, if you have to go, thank you so much. But Aaron, I know we enjoy this part thoroughly. you want to get into some Q&A with me? Sure, although in order to make sure I can see the questions clearly, I'm gonna turn off our slideshow here. So you guys are gonna look at my boring desktop for a little bit, but just in case I need to pull Dragon back up to answer a question, I'm gonna leave the screen share running.
As I get through the first 10 minutes of, should we be seeing a different slide? Right. We'll get to them. Our practice uses Veridigm Pro EHR. Many of the tasks that are the most time-consuming are ordering tests and changing dates for future tests. Can this test could be automated with integration into the EHR itself? So, I've got a little one-sheeter here that describes exactly what fields and functions the clinical app connector that is CNX is capable of interacting with.
I'm gonna find that and I'll get it up here on the screen for you. So you can kind of see like, okay These are the EHRs. These are the fields that it will do While I am getting that for you, though Let's go ahead and ask our next question and then we'll circle back and I'll show that Okay. Our friend Logan is there a way to drop in templates from DMO and have DCP generate them with the drag-and-drop.
I think you called it So, the answer is yes, kind of, and because you got to be a little careful when it comes to the terminology surrounding templates, because when we think templates in the context of DMO, we're thinking of auto text shortcuts, right, where I say a short phrase and it fires off a big block of text for me, maybe there's some variables in there. Can you turn those into Dragon Copilot templates? Yes you can.
But what I encourage people to think of, and when you're, you know, if you decide to launch with this, your reseller is going to be able to assist you in kind of getting this put together. Because the templating engine of Dragon Copilot can leverage conditional logic and build a flexible template that can adjust depending on the circumstances of the visit, very often, even if you have a whole stack of auto text shortcuts that you use on a daily basis because it's a dictation-centric workflow, Often we find that people can leave behind a lot of those because flexible intelligent templating within Dragon can replace a lot of that functionality.
So you don't have to dictate and fire in templates and so on. That being said, sometimes you got that niche template for that particular type of visit that just kind of doesn't quite fit Dragon Copilot's modeling. And for those ones, you can bring those over and still make use of them or turn them into a separate custom template? Because I can put together in Dragon as many templates as I want. So the answer is yes, but don't feel like you have to bring them all along.
Often they can be kind of aggregated into the intelligent system. Great answer, great answer. Okay. Try removing the animations from the slides in the future. That's a good one. Actually, I will remember that one. Here is our slide, by the way, of the different medical records and the different boxes that they can handle. So these are our EHRs up at the top here that are supported by CNEX, and then these are the note fields. And if there's a green dot, then that note field is supported for integration for the clinical app connector.
So if you want to take a screenshot of this, I certainly wouldn't hold it against you, but I'm sure that Mark can supply you with a copy of this graphic if you need it. So you were saying VeriDyme, will it do orders? It looks like orders functionality is not available for VeriDyme, sorry. Is that pointed? I just wanted to check that. Will CNX surface relevant info from the chart, prior imaging consults? So will CNX surface relevant info from the chart, prior imaging consults, et cetera?
It's a good question. So CNX is a push engine, not a pull engine. And so it will take the Dragon Copilot note sections and various specific data based on that slide a moment ago and it places it into the EHR but it does not have the ability to peer into the different medical records and read information out of them. Now in terms of Dragon Copilot's capabilities and the development roadmap over time, Microsoft is aware that people want this kind of context-aware AI functionality and they are working on it but the clinical node exchange connector does not do that.
Can non-audio info be added to a patient's session and be integrated into the note by the AI? Example, drop in a previous diagnostic result or summaries of consultations in the text form. So yes, the only thing I would caution you on is total volume of text. So if I go into that little copilot chat and I say, add a summary of this information into the HPI and then I paste in a previous visit or something like that.
It'll digest that pretty easily. But if I take say like a 20 page medical history and I say incorporate all of this into the appropriate note sections into the note, the output is not necessarily going to be as flawless as I might like. I'd be better off at that point doing an ambient recording and kind of verbalizing a quick summary of the patient's history so that it can build it in itself rather than ingesting it through a text box.
Excellent. There's a long one. So I have a couple of questions. First, when is this coming out or available for Epic? So I didn't see it as one of the EMRs on your slide. Are there launch specials or deals? Next. So let's focus. on, Okay. So Epic will be question one. Next, can I train the AI on a specific template that I created so that they format it the same way every time. Why don't I stop there and I'll keep going.
Okay, so question number one, we're working on getting set up for distribution for the Epic Connected version. So Epic has, you know, because they are of course a giant hovering mothership of a medical record company, they have a connector as well. That's kind of like Cinex. It's actually a little more seamless in in some ways, but it requires its own special rules and policies and well, without getting too deep into the technical weeds, there are special arrangements that have to be made to be able to set somebody up with the Epic Connector.
And that is something that we are actively working on to make that available. And then in terms of, can I train the AI so that it comes through? You can always tell when there's somebody in the audience who already uses AI on the regular. So contemporary AI tools, things like say ChatGPT or Claude, they train based on text-based input, right? So I write a big old prompt that says, here are the rules of this conversation. I want you to abide by them.
And so I use it to try and steer the output of the AI that I'm interacting with by telling it what to do and kind of feeding it information. Dragon Copilot aims for a greater degree of precision than that. So the customizable template feature that you saw, when I program in my templates, it will follow them exactly. It uses them actively to make sure that the note output aligns with what I've specified, rather than feeding it a block of text to kind of tell it what to do and then sort of hoping that it understands and outputs accordingly.
Dragon Copilot actually gives you more control than that. Perfect, perfect. Okay, will it correct errors or make small notes if it thinks it's misheard something to prompt the doc to clarify? So it doesn't audit in the way that perhaps you're envisioning. So again, without getting too deep into the technical weeds, pardon me, the Dragon Copilot AI is actually three AIs working together. One of them is programmed to generate the note, one of them is programmed to analyze everything that it's hearing, and the other one is programmed to, or the third is programmed to keep track of, call it the shape and rhythm of the conversation so it knows context and who to pay attention to and who to exclude, et cetera.
And when it hears the recording, it converts that into a transcript and then rifles through it many, many, many times, iterating to decode the conversation and then ultimately turn that into a note. So the accuracy is very, very high. Ultimately, though, because we're talking about medical records here, it does depend on the physician to double-check that the details of the note are accurate. So there's always going to be that caveat to read the note and make sure that everything kind of reflects the conversation.
And if you want, you've got the transcript right there that you can use to compare and make sure. Excellent. Okay. Can it read previous notes from the EMR and help with pulling in coordinated care notes from other specialists so that care isn't being overlapped? That is a question that also kind of references that desire for the EHR context aware functionality. That's on the development roadmap for the product, but it's not presently available. And I wouldn't want to speculate as to a timeline because you can never be sure with software development, how long different features are going to take.
This is still one person. I love this. Is this available on a discrete app on the mobile, like iPhone? Yes. So there is a Dragon Copilot app for iPhone. That same Dragon Copilot app is in iPad, because they're both Apple operating systems. So Apple has a Dragon Copilot version, or Microsoft created a Dragon Copilot app for Apple platforms. So it'll be on the iPhone and the iPad. And then there's also an app available for Android as well, so Android phones and tablets.
Can this also support general meeting notes, taking, or only encounters? So technically speaking, it's just going to try to turn whatever it hears into a medical note. And so if I were to have this running and I was in like a conference room meeting about something non-medical, it might struggle to create something cogent from that because it's looking for doctors and patients and you know guardians rather than you know accounting and logistics and you know operations.
So I'm not sure I would want to use it for something that's not medical. A couple more. He gives us a big thanks for answering their several questions. I like it. Can the AI be trained to recognize certain acronyms that are specialty-specific and not widely known and accurately transcribed? So Can it recognize certain acronyms that are specialty-specific and accurately transcribe it? So it will happily transcribe, it will make a, note. like if I have a specialty acronym that I say out loud, it is going to put that into the note if it can tell from the context of the conversation that it's important.
It's not necessarily like If there's a really niche acronym, it won't necessarily know to expand it. That being said, the total amount of medical information and supported specialties, well, let's just say it's verbose. And so I would be surprised if there were something medical that it was utterly unfamiliar with. You might, you know, I suppose if you wanted to double check If you're thinking about it, when you're in discussions with your reseller, um, they have access to demo copies of Dragon Copilot, just like I do.
And maybe they can test it for you and double check. Um, but the thing to remember is that the entire Dragon Medical One voice dictation engine has been forklifted up and brought into Dragon Copilot. So if all else fails, you can always put it into your custom vocabulary and dictated in if you, if you need to. But I would be surprised if it, if it weren't already aware of it, but you can check, ask your reseller they can double-check for you okay is the microphone that you use the hardware connected to the internet or just Bluetooth it connects by Bluetooth to the computer itself so the base station is a little kind of hockey puck sized docking station and then it has a Bluetooth antenna that is in it and it pairs up to the computer using a USB cable so the base station hooks up physically to the computer and then the microphone itself connects to the computer via the base station using a Bluetooth connection so the microphone itself is wireless using Bluetooth the base station hooks up with a cable excellent excellent okay well I'm not here to talk specifically about pricing I know you asked Rick about specials or launch deals I will say one thing we're allowing right now is that if you do upgrade to Dragon Copilot we're allowing you to keep your DMO on at no charge while you get more familiar with the transition.
So it's a pretty good opportunity if you are and you know that you have to make this jump to AI you're still able to keep your DMO which you're comfortable and familiar with while you learn the new ins and outs of the AI is the front end indication all that stuff that while you kind of navigate through you still have your trusty sidekick DMO. Your subscription stays on but the billing will stop. I can't say that.
So I was, I was, somebody was paying attention. Rick, I want to follow up with you and I had to get a thumbs up. Thank you. I want to follow up with Ed who suggests sending two mounds bars with any quote for the ambient microphone. I love that. I get Another question, how much is Dragon Copile? Again, reach out to, to your resellers about that. Is the Cinex compatible with Practice Fusion EHR? Regrettably Practice Fusion is not on the supported medical records list for Cinex, But just like Microsoft, clinically speaking, actively works to expand the functionality of their clinical app connector over time.
So there, you know, I wouldn't be able, you know, we would not want to promise that because we don't know what the development schedule is, but there's always the future to account for. Yeah, like I said, if your DMO was working nicely, you know, that that transfer HBI directly into your EMR, I swear by that, I still do, It gives you that command and control. And well, And that is something that is worth mentioning. If you look at the list of supported EHRs for the Connector and you're like, ah, man, mine's not on the list, don't you know, sleep on the voice commands because once you get the hang of it, you can rifle off those voice commands inside of 10, 15 seconds, and then the whole node is in place.
Can existing SH, FH, PMH, PSH, preventative history move forward note to note? So that's an EHR functionality question Because a lot of medical record systems have the ability to pull forward details from a previous note into a current note Because both Dragon Copilot and it's you know kind of best friend Clinical note exchange they place information into the medical record But they aren't aware of what's already in the record and so they aren't able to interact with past notes in the same way, they treat every note like it's new.
Okay. Okay, okay. Is DCP making any progress being able to speech focus into Athena text fields? That's a good question. So depending upon the medical record system that you use, there are varying levels of what we in the DragonBiz call full text control in different environments. So the ability to make use of all the intelligent dictation features that we're accustomed to with Dragon Medical One in different environments. And the two feature sets are not exactly identical, but the big difference is that Microsoft is working to continuously improve and augment Dragon Copilot.
They're aware that focus or anchored dictation is not available everywhere. And they're, you know, they take feedback, they react to it, and we get indications of them working to improve. You know, I would so like, say, let me see, six, eight months ago, the voice transfer command to move the note section into Athena would not have worked. That was something that wasn't there originally when the product launched is the voice commands into certain medical records, and now it does because Microsoft is in a process of continual refinement to make it the solution that will save us the most time.
Excellent. My doctor likes to pull the previous notes with each visit. How does AI work with the editing? Doctor likes to pull the previous notes with each visit. How does AI work with the editing? You need more context on that maybe? I think I can, I think I've got it. So the idea, so the notion of the pull the note forward workflow when it comes to using an AI node creator always requires a little bit of creativity and flexibility because it's gonna place the note all kind of at once, right?
It doesn't spread it like peanut butter into an existing note. So if I pull a note forward, as long as I structure my note template in my medical record so that there's a spot, a single spot where the new stuff is supposed to go, I can pull my note forward, place in my new note from Dragon and be done. Alternatively, I can grab individual sections of the note that Dragon has written for me and kind of paste them in in the niche spots where they need to go.
It all is just a question of how much control you have over the shape of your documentation. I can of course forego pulling the note forward and just kind of verbalize the patient's history. It'll build it all into the new note and then I can put it into place and then not bother pulling the note forward because now I don't have to dictate it all over, right? The AI is handling that for me. I just kind of have to tell it what happened.
But if I need to be able to pull information forward, the tweak that makes it run the most smoothly is to designate a spot where the new information is gonna go and then use the AI and then place the note there. Well, I like that, I like that, okay. Can the staff slash doctor upload to the EHR at the end of the morning or day so the doctor can go to the next patient more quickly or do you have to stay on that patient until processing is complete?
There's two answers to this question, and it depends a lot about the rules your IT personnel are going to set. Because the idea is, it doesn't break the licensing rules for Dragon Copilot to have somebody else do the data entry for you. And so if I am a provider and I'm seeing a patient, but I don't want to do the step of transferring in, I can leave my Dragon logged in and then support people who help me can come drafting in behind me and do the transfer step.
That's allowed as long as IT doesn't mind that somebody other than me is piggybacking on my login. So you want to double check with relevant security authority where you work to make sure that that's okay. But we have seen practices do it that way. We call it the split workflow and it's very, very fast because it works exactly like you just described. Providers They're going room to room, seeing patients, generating notes. Someone else does the data entry, then they go back to the EHR, look over everything, make sure it looks good, and sign it.
Excellent, excellent. Okay, I think we're pretty close. I do see a lot of questions from some of the resellers. Absolutely take those offline. Thank you guys, very good info. No vague promises, very refreshing. Keep up the great work. Thank you, Logan Fredrickson. So I think we'll call it there. Like I said, anything one-on-one, we absolutely will take those on. Follow up the resellers with your questions as well. I know that was a first peek at some of the Athena and the Cinex stuff as well.
So we'll follow up with all of you on that as well. So thank you, Aaron. Appreciate your time today. And like I said, look for something with the next couple days, couple business days as a follow-up, but absolutely feel free to reach out to your Dragon Solution partner reseller in the meantime, but like I said, I'll make sure that they know of your registration here today as well. So thank you, Aaron. My pleasure to help as always.
All right, have a good rest of your day, folks. Thank you.
